<!-- ATS Engine marketing site, created 2026-08-24 when these pages moved
onto their own domain. Revised the same day for the V6 rebuild.
lastmod refreshed 2026-08-31 - see the note at the foot of this block.

URLs are EXTENSIONLESS because that is what this host serves. The
.html forms 301 here, so listing them instead would point crawlers
at redirects rather than at the canonical address.

Since V6, / is a landing page in its own right and is the site's
home. /ats-engine is no longer that home - it is now the "How It
Works" page - but it keeps a high priority because it is the address
printed on the QR codes and used by every campaign link to date, and
dropping it would strand that history.

     Deliberately excluded: /ats-engine-allscreens and
/walkthrough-gallery. They are still served, just not advertised.

2026-09-02. The old note here said "no live page links to either",
which had stopped being true - /walkthrough-gallery was linked 32
times, including the nav on every page, and /ats-engine-allscreens
15 times from the footer. A sitemap that says a page is unlinked
while the nav links it from all fifteen pages is worse than no
note, because the next person reads it instead of checking.

What is true now: neither is in the nav. /walkthrough-gallery is
     reached from the footer ("Every screen") and two body CTAs;
     /ats-engine-allscreens from the footer only.

Also worth knowing before anyone acts on the word "superseded":
these two and /ats-engine-screens are not hand-maintained
duplicates. ops/build-gallery.py generates all three from one list
in ops/gallery_data.py - the gallery is both audiences tabbed,
     /ats-engine-screens is the job-seeker slice, /ats-engine-allscreens
the recruiter slice. Deleting one means editing the generator whose
whole purpose is stopping the three from drifting apart. Which of
the three should be the indexed one is a real decision, and it has
     not been made.

The app itself (ats-engine.com, no www) is not listed. It is a
sign-in wall behind which everything requires an account - nothing
there is meaningful to a crawler.

NOTE: V6 shipped its own sitemap.xml pointing at ats-engine.com with
.html extensions - the app domain, and the wrong URL form on both
counts. It is deliberately not deployed. This file replaces it.

2026-08-31 REFRESH. The structure was already correct - all eleven
pages in the build are accounted for, nine listed and two excluded on
purpose - so nothing was added or removed. What was wrong was the
dates: every lastmod still said 2026-08-24, while every page was
actually rewritten on 2026-08-29 (social meta tags, JSON-LD, and the
help-centre pass). A lastmod that does not move when a page changes
is worse than none, because a crawler that checks and finds it
inaccurate learns to ignore the field on this host.

These dates come from the files themselves, not from memory. Whoever
next edits a page should move its date here too.
2026-08-31 REFRESH #2. Two changes on the same day. First, a GBP/USD
toggle on the two pricing pages. Second, a worldwide-availability pass:
     a new section on / and /ats-engine, a paragraph on /for-jobseekers, a
closing section and reframed opening on the compliance page, and one
line added to the footer of every page. Because the footer changed
everywhere, every lastmod here moves - not just the six pages with new
     copy. -->
